Pumpkin Faces in the Night: Mixtape Curated by Ryan Page

A bit late, but damn well worth it, Ryan Page, mastermind behind body horror electro grind entity Body Hammer and the remorseless Robocop was kind enough to make a special mixtape for you loyal readers in the spirit of Halloween. He's even gone ahead and included some fitting summaries.

I approached Ryan thinking "who could be more perfect than a guy who names his bands after a Japanese body horror film and makes intriguingly frightening grindcore?" Can't thank Ryan enough, so please check out all his doings and projects.

i'm having a hard time telling, is there a dr. doom and a dr. dooom in the world? the mind, it kinda boggles?

dooom's one of kool Keith's stage names.

and yeah, Ryan's descriptions were pretty good. especially the one for Electric Wizard

So yeah, there's Dr. Dooom, a stage name of rapper Kool Keith after he killed his Dr. Octagon character, that was started around 1998. Then there's a Norwegian death metal/grindcore band called Dr. Doom that started in 2006. And if you want to be thorough, there's also rapper MF DOOM, conceived of around the same time as Kool Keith's stage name, and a stage name of an early 90s rapper named Zev Love X from KMD. To further complicate things, he now prefers to be called DOOM, which fucks things up for fans of the crust punk band Doom on sites like last.fm.

Hey, thanks a lot for posting this. Te only thing is that the track listing seems to be in the wrong order. Its not a big deal, but I think the zip file i sent might have been auto organized somehow. It was actually ordered the same as my comments were. Not a big deal, I just thought I'd mention it. Thanks all.

Oh dang... I had wondered this the MP3s were in different order than your comments. Sorry Ryan.
