Sete Star Sept - Vinyl Collection 2010-2012

Sete Star Sept = Seven Star Seven. Japanese 2 band members one who plays drums and one who sings and plays the bass. Nothing nice, nothing catchy. Faster, louder, busier than you'd want. Not sensible or enjoyable, you'll lose friends with this.

Their collected vinyl works from 2010-2012 on one compact disc is great for collectors, but awful for me. An hour of this? Painful and too much. No John Cage thoughtbastion, and not as uncomfortable as Naked City. But I guess wanting to turn off =7s7's mission?

Support if you don't like music and want to be angry and then thank (or hate) Fuck Yoga.

I don't know Andrew. Things like Insect Warfare's last made me really grind my teeth but keep listening. This just makes me turn it off too quickly, no kinda masochist urge to sit through and find out.

haha! I think they would be proud of a review like like that!

I agree with both of you, there is some fun and asaesthetic (kinda twisted) pleasure in this one hour long of audio torture. but in the same time, yes I cannot listen to Sete sept star for one hour (even if Revision of noise is less "painful" and more focused less over the board, you should try it). but I think such a record is not supposed to be listened to in one time, it's just a way to gather different releases so you can have them all and listen to it bit by bit...
I think in a way Sete sept star is a kind of concept band, it's not just the music but also the concept, pure mayhem in sonic form. and some tracks are really good, for real not just for fun, take pilot error snooze at the start of the comp' for ex...isn't it a cool song?

You're right D, this kind of music is more about charm and experience I think rather than the components(melody, rhythm, etc).

Either way I'm excited to see them at MDF, regardless if it's "good" or "bad."

is there something wrong with me?

Yes. We all noticed it when you raved about Phantom Limb- apparently your delusions have gotten larger and larger.

well, maybe at work would be the place where I could listen to Sete star sept...but at home I wouldn't.
but for 15 minutes at home after work would do quite well for me. a kind of release

I meant : " maybe at work would be the place where I could listen to Sete star sept for ONE HOUR."

Man, I still stand behind Phantom Limb. I wouldn't if any other band released that style of record, but for them it just works. Also, "Girl in the Slayer Jacket" is one of the coolest songs ever. I scream along to every word every single time.
